Functional Movement to balance the body

Frequently Asked Questions
Practical MovementTM – Targeted Movement for Massage Therapy

What should I wear to the seminar?

Wear loose fitting clothing, something that you will feel comfortable moving around in that will not restrict your range of motion.

What should I bring to the seminar?

The following items will be used during the trades. If bringing any of these items does not work with your travel plans, please Contact Us.

  • A Massage Table:  some of the movements are done on an elevated surface.  Also, if you are uncomfortable lying on the floor or have difficulty getting down to floor level to work with a partner, you may perform the movements on a table rather than on the floor. You will need a bottom sheet only.
  • Something to lie on to perform the movements on the floor.  While the floor will be carpeted, it will be hard.  Anything you can bring to soften that will be helpful:  a thick wool blanket, a camping pad, yoga mat, gym mat, a therma rest.
  • Head support for the sidelying position.
  • Snacks: You know your own body, and what your nutritional needs are. Also, the seminar organizers provide water, coffee & tea service and some snacks.

How else can I prepare?

Practical MovementTM is anatomy-specific movement. You may want to review the musculature involved to re-familiarize yourself.  Click Here for the muscle list.
